ABOUT US

Amber J. Shearer

Managing Director

Amber was born and raised in NW Pennsylvania. Her parents took her on her first camping trip at 3 weeks old and she has loved the outdoors and camping since. She was called to ministry when she was 11 years old and has dedicated her life to fulfill that calling.

She attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania where she graduated with a B.A. in Communications and then attended Denver Seminary in Littleton, Colorado where she got her M.A. in Leadership.

Amber has volunteered and worked at various camps since she was a teenager. She believes that camp offers unique opportunities for individuals to connect with God amidst His creation. She is thrilled to have joined the DLBC team and to help carry out the vision the Lord has for this ministry!

In her free time, you will find her in front of a fire reading a good book, exploring the great outdoors, or working on DIY Pinterest projects.

 Morgan Pelletier

Director of Camp Ministries

Morgan has been going to camp since she was a little girl where she fell in love with it. This love for camp and God led her to become a counselor at different camps including DLBC.

God gripped her heart the first year she counseled here and she has not missed a summer yet! He has blessed her with being able to be a part of this camp ministry and with a new found friendship with Amber our wonderful Managing Director.

In the off season, Morgan has been going to school for social work and now for teaching. Children have taught her so much about her faith in Christ and she absolutely loves to be around them!

She is so thankful for all the people that help make this camp run and for all the campers that show her what childlike faith is.

Our History

Dickey Lake Bible Camp & Retreat (DLBC) has been on the shore of Dickey Lake since 1946. A parcel of land was purchased on the shore of Dickey Lake and their camp ministry began with pole tents and cooking over a campfire. Many changes have occurred since those early days. In the past 15 years, the ministry has grown from a four-week summer camp for Alliance youth, to a thriving camp that offers weekend retreats and family camp, and opportunities for organizations, churches, and individuals to rent the facility. Our modern facility that can currently house over 150 people and serve meals in a quality commercial kitchen. Many plans for the future are in place. DLBC is ever growing to serve the Lord and His people. The lake is 585 acres of clear water in the midst of Kootenai National Forest, located just outside of Trego, Montana. DLBC is a ministry of the Rocky Mountain District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance.
